Birth of a Dream

SPC No. 10

What’s the best part about spotting your puzzles out in the wild—whether in shops, online, events, etc? It is very satisfying to see puzzles popping up in shops, but I am usually aware how they got there, as we do all our own shipping B2B sales in the US. In Europe we have some distributors, so they could really be anywhere! I would love to hear from EU puzzlers to find out where they have found them!

What makes Art & Fable puzzles unique in the puzzle world?

The Art. What makes most companies unique is the selection of art they choose to put on a puzzle. The art choices, are largely what makes a brand stand out from the rest.

If you could describe 'Birth of a Dream' in three words, what would they be? Maria Brzozowska style!

What do you think makes 'Birth of a Dream' a standout puzzle in the Art & Fable collection? Or What are your favorite aspects about the 'Birth of a Dream' puzzle?

It think all of Maria’s work stands out, as her Tale of Two puzzle is great too. She has many new artworks that I want to bring to puzzle form! As a puzzle, I appreciated how the black fish are all facing the same way, as it made it easier to puzzle!

Is there a story behind choosing this particular artwork for the puzzle? Or Can you share a fun behind-the-scenes detail about the production of this puzzle that puzzlers might not know? Not really. One thing that is cool is that her father is also an artist, and his work is on the puzzle titles Wanderer’s Night Dreams, which we are sold out of currently! Their work has similarities, as you will see if you check out Marek’s work. He also licenses his work for puzzles with other puzzle companies, which I did not know when I found her work!

Is there anything you would like to share about working with the artist - Maria Brzozowska? Maria is lovely. She is a nature and dog lover. She is easy to work with and has an endless amount of creativity to share with the world!

What do you hope puzzlers feel or experience when working on an Art & Fable puzzle? I hope that they can delve into the color, paint strokes and the mind of the artist!

Also, do you have anything in specific you would like for me to share with the puzzlers? I hope to be able to bring them great puzzle moments going forward!
