What’s the best part about spotting your puzzles out in the wild—whether in shops, online, events, etc? Seeing a Piecely puzzle “out in the wild” feels like watching the whole mission come to life: turning art into something people can touch, experience, and enjoy - piece by piece. It’s especially meaningful because every puzzle represents a collaboration with artists and an invitation to slow down and create something beautiful at home.
What makes Piecely Puzzles unique in the puzzle world? Three things really set Piecely apart: ° Art-first, modern motifs: Piecely focuses on modern travel illustrations and works with artists from around the world. ° A premium puzzling feel: rich colors, a matte soft-touch surface, and a beautiful box that looks great on the shelf ° Sustainability built in: plastic-free packaging and puzzles made from recycled waste paper
If you could describe 'Suisse Nights' in three words, what would they be? Moonlit, Cozy, Serene
What do you think makes 'Suisse Nights' a standout puzzle in the Piecely Puzzles collection? Or What are your favorite aspects about the 'Suisse Nights' puzzle? Suisse Nights stands out because it’s pure atmosphere: the old town of Thun at night, glowing warmly with lights, framed by sparkling water and majestic mountains. It’s one of those scenes that feels like a deep exhale as you build it.
Is there a story behind choosing this particular artwork for the puzzle? Or Can you share a fun behind-the-scenes detail about the production of this puzzle that puzzlers might not know? Yes! Suisse Nights was chosen as a small nod to our Swiss reseller Orell Füssli, who has been an important partner for Piecely. I was also really eager to include a night scene in the collection. Something cozy, atmospheric, and a little magical. When this artwork caught my eye, it felt like the perfect combination of place, mood, and moment.
Is there anything you would like to share about working with the artist - Millie Putland? Millie is an absolute delight to work with. She’s incredibly kind, professional, and just a genuinely lovely person. For Suisse Nights, we licensed existing artwork, but I could very easily imagine commissioning a custom piece from her in the future. Her style translates beautifully into puzzles, and working with her has been a really positive experience all around.
What do you hope puzzlers feel or experience when working on an Piecely Puzzle? That they’re not just finishing a puzzle. They’re making something beautiful, appreciating the small details along the way, and ending with that uniquely satisfying feeling of having created a full artwork “piece by piece”.
Also, do you have anything in specific you would like for me to share with the puzzlers? Just enjoy the process! That's all that matters.
